Good topic bro! I'm also interested in what kind of rigs you guys are running from the perspective of deciding what features I can make use of in future lessons. What I'm mostly interested in is: CPU, Graphics Adapter, RAM size, Monitor specs, and OS version.

The Chili machine goes something like:

Intel Core i7 860
nVidia GeForce GTX 470
4 GB DDR3 SDRAM
1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz LCD
Windows 7 64-bit

Dual screen is real nice for following along with the tutorial. 8-)

The Radeon card is a little unfortunate though, but only because I might do a CUDA tutorial sometime in the future. If I do though, it will be quite some time from now.

Uhm, don't get me wrong but... what's CUDA?
And what does CUDA have to do with ATI Radeon?

Thanks :-)

CUDA is nVidia's platform for writing GPU programs. Since it's nVidia's standard, it only works for nVidia cards. There are other standards that work over both makers' hardware, such as OpenCL, but I only know CUDA, so if I ever make a GPU compute tutorial it will be with CUDA. :P

Anyways, if I do make such a course, it will be quite some time from now (over a year, at the earliest).
