If you think paging some data from disk into RAM is slow, try paging it into a simian cerebrum over a pair of optical nerves. - gameprogrammingpatterns.com

After downloading it and reading the first half of it, I did learn somethings, though not until almost half way through. One is how to use std::weak_ptr, though this isn't covered extensively. Two would be how to use a unique_ptr with the PIMPL idiom, which I had tried in the past and failed due to my lack of understanding.

If you plan on reading this, try to remove distractions. The information provided requires a bit of concentration and thought to grasp, at least it did for me. I found myself rereading it a few times as my mind would wonder or wife and kid would interrupt me.

Thanks for the link, it does look pretty interesting at first glance. Even the first part looks good to me to go over. It is always good to go over stuff especially when you end up feeling that you already grasp it / didn't learn anything new. That's where I get confidence from. I'm wary of being confident of knowing something until I haven't learnt anything new about it in a while.
