Game Programmers Portfolio?

Post by SpaceAnimation » January 28th, 2015, 7:23 am

Hi all, it sure has been a while.

As part of the next year I will be required to make a Portfolio covering my works as an up and coming game programmer (not that i'm much of one now but i'm slowly getting there). As part of my current assignment I have to write a strategic plan for a professional website portfolio and reference 2 current website portfolios and also analyse a 'portfolio hero' a programmers portfolio that I admire! However after searching Google I have found zit as most of the portfolios that programmers write are shocking. haha! I prefer to look at a designers portfolio than a programmers, who would have guessed? So I come to the reliable folk on the chili forum to hopefully steer me in the right direction and possibly offer up their portfolio hero's if anyone has any or possibly their own? If chili has a portfolio maybe he could be my hero haha!
Any advise or knowledge in this area would be most helpful.

SpaceMan - lol strategic planning (I got no idea about it, I usually wing it)

Hello,

I have found this presentation that contains lots of info about game programming portfolios.
https://prezi.com/2nthq8wxjtmu/get-in-t ... edium=copy

If you are not able to open this stuff, follow the portfolios:
http://www.simonvanhauwaert.com/
http://danielcollinson.weebly.com/index.html
http://adamyaxley.com/

Those portfolios are used as references and I think they are good (mainly the simon one).

Anyways, I hope this will help.
