Hey peeps, in case you haven't noticed from my posts in the last couple of days, I'm back from Europe. Feeling the jet lag still, but I had a blast. I'm gonna upload a few videos for my parents to watch back in Canada as unlisted, but I thought I might make a few of them available for people here on the board if they are curious.

Here's the first one I got all coded and uploaded.

Hi Chilli,

Nice it captured the fireworks really well. In the old days you would lose a lot of colour when you record fireworks. Only thing is though, why is the screen so narrow in width. Most camera phones record in a wide aspect ratio.

Here is your mission should you choose to accept. Make a directx program to simulate fireworks using directx particles effects. This would also need gravity too.

Yeah, I have the bad habit of taking phone videos in portrait orientation (as opposed to landscape). Makes uploading a pain in the arse because I have to run them through Vegas to rotate, scale, and pan/scan them.

A fireworks program would be a fun little project, but I think most people on this forum would rather see me putting any spare time I have into developing the next tutorial.

shaki: I'm going to upload videos with the Chili man himself in frame. They will be unlisted like the fireworks one above, but I might consider sharing them with you boardies, so long as it stays on the forums.
