It just means you might not be able to play the games properly. Later you could try out to replace the spacebar for a combination that works. You should be able to follow just fine.

As said, alt+tab changes the layout back to QWERTY, or you can change it manually by clicking the "ENG" on the taskbar. No problem at all really. After you are done with the tutorials you can print out an official DirectX master certificate. That's how great these tutorials are. You should of course refer to other sources as well, since there's so much that cannot be taught, even in a bunch of videos. msdn.microsoft.com is your friend.
