Re: How are the videos doing now?
Hi Chilli, The reason I want to make this is that there isn't a network version of monopoly out there, except for a 2D one called PSMonopoly. I am not planning on making money on this. Just gonna release it and see if it spreads anonymously LOL. Still got a lot to learn. With the chilli engine I pre...

How are the videos doing now?
Hi all, Been away from programming for a while. Been working on a game in a team, but I have been doing all the 3D modelling and I was wondering where the chilli videos are up to? I have started making a small game, but because it is totally 3D and I don't think the videos got to doing 3D yet I have...

Re: 3D game development
Hi all, I also have not been around for a while. I seriously haven't had any time to do any programming, it has been mad lately, well unless you include php and jquery programming heh heh. I got a new job and have spent a lot of time having to learn non programming stuff. On the good side I have bee...

Re: Tron... online!
Hi albinopapa, Yay, another Doctor who fan. Yes I am a long time fan of Doctor Who, especially Tom Baker, hence when I make a Dalek or Sonic Screwdriver it had to be from the Tom Baker Era. I do watch the new Doctor Who, but even without the wobbly sets it doesn't quite capture the essence of Doctor...

Re: Tron... online!
Hi albinopapa, I am on http://www.the3dstudio.com/product_search.aspx?id_category_0=1&id_author=217189&ipst=0&sort=rank&id_affiliate=217189 Where I can sell models, but I need a full time job. There is a reason that I have only put 3 models on that site that I cannot go into on here though. I have d...

Re: Update on the Platformer Tutorials
Hi albinopapa, Shit, is that many really necessary? That must be one detailed model. I think poser models are like 1% of that and they look pretty nice. You have got to have some serious patience to mold and texture (uv mapping) all that, do you use something like ZBrush? Yes it is really necessary....

Re: Update on the Platformer Tutorials
Hi Chilli, How about this for a progression. Once the 2D platformer is done then turn it into a 3D platformer. Very often games use the 2D platformer look, but make it using 3D assets, so you got a kind of 2.5D view when you are playing the game. The 2D code would still be valid apart from needing a...

Re: Moment of Philosophy
Hi natox, I am guessing that you are American heh heh. As you can guess I am British, and we don't get swept up in all the B****ks LOL. You must have misinterpretted what I said. I didn't say philosophy made me depressed. What I meant is why waste time thinking about it. We only have one life, so li...

Re: Moment of Philosophy
Hi all, I think Philosophy is a waste of life. I mean it will only make you unhappy, and you will still end up dying. An ant can be philosophical, but he will still get stepped on. Don't waste your life being depressed by your own making. There is plenty in life to be depressed about without causing...

Re: Tron... online!
Hi, I am a dab hand at 3D. I am learning character work at the moment in mudbox. As for a Tron game I think that would be cool, but not just the light cycles, because that had been done to death in the 80's the first time around. eg the lines. Unless you make proper 3D lightcycles, now that would be...
