Career Finding Forum/Website

Post by nG Inverse » January 29th, 2013, 10:40 am

Hello,

I've been searching for days now for a website or forum that aids in matching people with suitable careers. I am now finishing up my final year of high school and am trying to figure out what career would be best for me. Now, there are plenty of "survey type" websites where you plug in interests and it outputs a few career options. However, I'm looking for a much more in-depth option where I can say the qualifications of the job I would want. This is why I believe it would be more aimed towards a forum.

Perhaps you know of a website like such? If not, perhaps you could help me right here!

Specifications:
  • I don't mind if college or a trade school is necessary
  • I don't mind needing to work as a team, or solo
  • I would like to make at least $60,000 a year (not necessarily right after starting, but a few years)
  • I would like to not need to travel
  • I would like to have a very dynamic job that isn't repetitive
  • I would like to have a job that requires some sort of physical activity
  • I would like to have a job that would have work year round
  • I love water, particularly diving aspects
  • I'm very good with technology, numbers, and my hands
Some careers I have thought of but didn't fit all the requirements:
  • Commercial Diver - Possibly no work for long periods of time, potential to need to travel
  • Accountant - Very repetitive, potential to need to travel, does not require physical activity
  • Game Programmer - Does not require physical activity
If any of you could help me or point me to a good site, I would be very much appreciative!

Thanks!
