I just wanted to thank you for the tutorials. I've wanted to program games for years but the graphics baffled me. Everyone starts out with the directX window stuff and I just lost hope of ever understanding it.
Your method of starting out putting pixels was exactly what I needed. I'm up to lesson 14 now and am drawing artwork for my future game once I learn to load bitmaps!
Thanks so much and keep up the good work.
Thanks Chili!
Re: Thanks Chili!
I second this post, and would also like to say thanks to chili!
Me...I always found the "hello world" thing and its just not what i was looking for. Sure i learned the syntax of the commands fairly well and stuff like that, but the logic behind it all kind of eluded me. That and i wanted to find out how to make a game, and i never found a good segway from the console to that.
im on lesson 21 now...and i dont plan to stop anytime soon. I'm making better progress and conceptualizing the code better than i ever have.
so yeah....thanks chili, you're tha shit!
