Noob warning -.- plz help

hey im a total noob, ive only watched lesson 1.

I am running windows 8, is this a problem for Chili's tutorials?

The problem is that after i sucessfully build the solution (before adding the pixel) the executable will not run, and is giving me the following error information found at the bottom of my post.

Any help on this subject would be super duper! I really want to try C++ coding

Did you install the DirectX SDK (Sofware Development Kit) ?

You should try using the Ghillie build.
