Lessons 1-6 Keyboard Glitch Question for Chili

Hi Chili, let me first say your program tutorials are fabulous. I am just starting your tutorials and I seem to have a strange glitch when dealing with moving the targeting reticule around the screen.
When I press the right, up, and down arrows, everything moves fine. But, when I press the left arrow it moves right all by itself even if I take my finger off the left key. The only way to stop it form moving is to push the right arrow key. I tried an experiment and reversed the x variable. What happens then is that when I press the right key it moves by itself to the left and when I push the left key it moves normally. I am not quite sure what is wrong, I have looked at the code multiple times and everything seems to be right. Thanks for your time and if you can help with this dilemma I would greatly appreciate it.
