Program is there a free alernative

Hi i would like to know if there is an alternative program that is free because i have an error that might be because of the program, so i was wondering if there was an alternative program. (It would be a great help if you replayed to me)

Free alternative to which program? I'm gonna take a wild guess that you mean Visual c++ Express. Well, there are several free alternatives: codeblocks, netbeans, eclipse are the most popular.

Feel free to use other "programs". I don't see the point. If you have an error it could happen just as likely to the other programs. Instead of avoiding the problem try to solve it, if just as an experiment.

+1 LuX's advice. You should always try to fix the problems if you can. Running away all the time means the problems will just follow you. (it's interesting that this is actually the way life works in general...)

no because i have the free version and it just ran out of the trial. Im up to lesson 8 and whenever i try to pick up the poo it does nothing and after closing it down i looked in the output and it has this

iv been trying to figure out whats wrong for a few weeks now
oh and isn't eclipse a java program same with netbeans
but i can assure you there is nothing wrong with the code iv been over it a dozen times but i could have missed something

Are you using express? If so just click get registartion key and register at microsoft and get a free key to continue using it, thats what I did.
Computer too slow? Consider running a VM on your toaster.

oh ok ummm yer i might try using eclipse because iv used it in the past and you never know it might work if it doesn't then im going to try getting a key. It might be DirectX's problem aswell

You can try reincluding the directx stuff http://www.planetchili.net/forum/viewto ... f=3&t=1096 which should fix it, but use what you prefer.

I recommend codeblocks and the dev c++ compiler as an alternative. I wrote my last game with that.
