In the first lesson of the beginner tutorial I followed the steps but I had the following FATAL ERROR:

1>LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'dxerr.lib'

theres a fix for that in the forums (or a couple) usually a reinstall ,
you should use chilli's search bar to find your answers and if you cannot then post
I have found many solutions through chilli's forums you just have to search

actually i think there was a fix posted in the last week or so (if you can find it )

Thanks LuX, you mah homie! I knew there was a good guide for fixing that problem, but I forgot where. I get a lot of comments on the videos about this, I'll have to steer people to that topic when they have problems.
