Wish all videos were as Easy as Chillis to follow

Post by Asimov » October 20th, 2012, 12:33 pm

Hi all,

I found this video on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dGmeMGBpg0

Very interesting and I am about quarter way through typing it all in and I am getting the dreaded nasty red squigglies as we call them in Britain. It is really annoying as I like the way he has laid it out. Also he doesn't do sound either. Hate vids with no sound.

I get a red squigglie on this
#include <tchar.h>

and anything with a _T doesn't work heh heh

Sorry Chilli, haven't sold out, just watching vids inbetween tutorials LOL

Anyway I have given up on this one now LOL.

Don't worry brah, I'm not the jealous type. ;)

New tutorial should be coming up soon by the way. I finished the rotoscoping tool enough to make the first running animation, so now I'm just cleaning up and upgrading the framework for the starting point of the platform game.

But I just got my new digital piano delivered today so I may be a little distracted for a few days. :)

Hi Chilli,

Is it a midi piano?. Reason 4 software is the best for that. You can make any instrument in existence. It is what I used to do the music on my game.

Hmm I use tchar in my windows practice thing. #include <tchar.h> static TCHAR somename[] =
_T("blah blah blah"); Then when you use your variable do so without the brackets. For example, GameName = somename;
What you call a bug...I call a new feature!

I use Cubase mostly. I "acquired" the VSL in Giga format recently. 240 gigabytes of orchestral samples. Now I just gotta figure out how to use it. :lol:

Hi Chilli,

I have tried Cubase and didn't get on with it. I think it is for people who actually understand musical notation heh heh. I play guitar also, but I can't read music, but if you asked me to play a F# minor I wouldn't have a problem heh heh.
