Moving to the left goes faster than to the right.
Moving up goes faster than moving down.
(I don't know if these are intentional)
I can't seem to get the yellow square to get points to continue (even though the green is colliding with it)
Noise seems to work fine!
I downloaded the first file you see when clicking on the link, by the way.
I can't seem to figure out your issue about moving left goes faster than to the right, or with going up goes faster than moving down.

And I did fix the point collision yesterday, although I didn't push it to the master branch! All is good now, though.

I completely freaked out, holy crap that's scary.

Nonetheless, awesome game!
Yes indeed the sound glitch is SCARY, and it's sort of fixed.

Not really though, it's a copout.

And thanks for playing!

Looking good man! need to add some sexy mp3 muzak now ;)

one thing, dont add the engine.* files except for engine.exe, they're not needed and just take up extra download space. Your game could be a < 2MB download if you had cleaned it properly!

Cubytes, AKA AssaultCube

Post by Battlefrog » March 21st, 2017, 1:53 am

Just a quick update for you guys.

A new public alpha, Alpha 2, will release on Friday.

It'll contain some nice features, such as a more completed level, and other nice gameplay elements.

For now, I'd like to present a new name for the game: CUBYTES!

Yep, I changed the name, for a number of reasons.

Mainly because it gets swamped under Google search results, and due to the fact it's an name for a free online FPS.

So Cubytes it is!

Hello! ALPHA 2 is released! You can find the Download below, but first, here's some changes!

Changelog:
  • Added a temp titlescreen (It's the Gameover thing... very fitting I know  )
  • Added ChiliSoundPackv2, which allows me to play .mp3 files!
  • Changed the window title to Cubytes - Affirming the name change ;)
  • Reduced the player speed slightly - It should be better, let me know if you think the change is garbage.
  • Cleaned up the download, thanks to Chili, so it's WAY smaller!
  • Added x86 support, for any of you with only a 32 bit Windows machine
Download:

x64 - Please refer to the front page for downloading.
x86 - Please refer to the front page for downloading.

Enjoy!
